King of Kings began as a mission church in Round Rock, Texas, meeting in the living room of one of its founding families. In March, 1980, the 12 founding families began meeting in the choir room of Round Rock High School. By the end of the month they had transitioned to the Montessori School of Round Rock. King of Kings bought land and broke ground for its first building, what is now our Sanctuary, in 1981. The building was dedicated to the Lord and the congregation began worshiping there in 1982. Over time the facility has grown to included a dedicated office facility and the Fellowship Hall with a large gathering space, kitchen, classrooms, and youth rooms.
The Body of Christ remains active.
From those early days until now, God has been doing great things at King of Kings. The congregation began a mother's day out program that has grown into the Children's Learning Center (CLC). The CLC is a thriving preschool that is enriching the lives of families in the North Austin area. King of Kings continues to impact its community through events like the Pumpkin Patch, Caroling for Cans, and the Mission of the Month giving opportunities.
Living in Christ.
The people at King of Kings are focused on having heartfelt worship, faithful discipleship, and joyful service to others. We desire to foster spiritual maturity among our members, equipping them for lives of service and sharing the Gospel in innovative ways with our neighbors, community, and the world. You are invited to be a part of this family of believers, participating in our Sunday morning services where Jesus meets us, forgiving our sins and strengthening our faith.
